Industry — workshop & craft
Woodworking aprons and shop aprons with tool pockets.
A shop apron is a tool organizer you wear: pencils, squares, marking knives, a phone, and the offcuts of a day at the bench. We build woodworking aprons in 16 oz waxed canvas and split leather, with pocket layouts drafted from how makers actually move — and your shop or brand logo worked in.

On the job
Working conditions for woodworking aprons.
Sawdust migrates into every open pocket
Open top pockets fill with chips in an hour. We draft flapped or bellows pockets where they make sense and keep one open pocket exactly where a pencil should live.
Tools get heavy by midday
A loaded shop apron on a neck strap is miserable. Cross-back straps spread the load across the shoulders — non-negotiable once the pockets hold real tools.
Splinters and edges shred light fabric
Fresh-milled stock and sheet goods chew through 8 oz cloth. Heavy waxed canvas or a leather chest panel takes the abrasion and breaks in instead of breaking down.
Fabric & build
Fabrics we recommend.
These are the grounds we reach for first on this kind of work. Every option is settled on a physical sample before bulk fabric is cut.
16 oz waxed canvas
The shop standard: shrugs off dust, glue squeeze-out, and finish splatter, and every scuff adds to the look. Re-waxable for a second life.
Split leather panels
Chest and pocket facings in split cowhide where chisels and marking knives ride — the spots that kill canvas first.
12 oz cotton canvas
The lighter option for teaching shops and maker spaces where comfort beats armor, at a friendlier price per piece.

Your logo on it
How to put your logo on these aprons.
Wood and leather belong together: a debossed leather patch, riveted or sewn on, is the signature move for shop aprons and matches the material honesty of the product. Embroidery above the pocket works for teaching shops and brands; avoid large prints, which crack under flex and sawdust abrasion.

Questions buyers ask first
Waxed canvas or leather for a woodworking apron?
Waxed canvas for most shops: it is lighter, washable (cold, no machine dry), and re-waxable. Add split-leather panels at the chest and pocket edges if sharp tools ride there. Full leather is the heirloom option for premium retail lines.
Can you copy a pocket layout from a sketch?
Yes — a hand sketch with rough dimensions is enough. Our pattern makers draft it to scale, and you approve the layout on a physical sample before bulk cutting.
Do cross-back straps fit different body sizes?
Straps are adjustable with sliders, and we grade body lengths on request. For team orders we recommend one adjustable spec; for retail lines we can produce two size runs.
What is the minimum for a custom shop apron?
Bulk runs start at 100 pieces. Order a single sample first to check the pocket layout and strap comfort in hand — the sampling fee credits toward your bulk order.
