Cotton canvas aprons in 8, 10, and 12 oz weights.
Plain-weave cotton canvas is the fabric most apron programs land on: structured enough to hold a pocket full of tools, soft enough for a ten-hour shift, and a clean base for embroidery and print. We stock it at 8, 10, and 12 oz, pre-shrunk, with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified lots and Pantone-matched dyeing.

In hand
Hand feel, durability, and look of canvas aprons.
Hand feel
Firm and structured off the roll; a garment or enzyme wash breaks it in before your team ever wears it. The 8 oz drapes like a shirt, the 12 oz stands up like a work jacket.
Durability
The plain weave resists snags and abrasion, and pre-shrinking keeps sized fits stable through repeated washing. At 12 oz it is the toughest washable fabric in the library.
Look
Matte, honest, and slightly textured — reads craft rather than corporate. Dyed colors stay deep because canvas takes pigment evenly across the weave.
Weights
Available weights and finishes.
Weight is the first spec to settle — it decides drape, protection, and price. Every weight ships as a physical sample before bulk cutting.
| Weight | Metric | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 8 oz | 270 gsm | Cafés, bakeries, retail staff — light enough for all-day wear |
| 10 oz | 340 gsm | Restaurants, studios, daily wear — the most versatile weight we run |
| 12 oz | 410 gsm | Woodworking and heavy-duty shops — maximum abrasion resistance |

Decoration
How to put a logo on cotton canvas.
Embroidery
Excellent — the tight weave holds fine detail and high stitch counts without puckering.
Screen print
Excellent — flat, even surface gives crisp edges on bold graphics.
DTG
Good — full-color art reproduces well; pre-treat on dark grounds.
Labels & patches
Excellent — woven labels and leather patches both sew on cleanly.
Care
- Machine wash warm with like colors; tumble dry low.
- Pre-shrunk fabric limits shrinkage to under 3% on home machines.
- Garment-washed versions should skip bleach to preserve the finish.

Questions buyers ask first
Which canvas weight should I choose for aprons?
8 oz for all-day comfort (cafés, retail), 10 oz for the balance of structure and comfort most restaurants pick, and 12 oz when abrasion is the enemy (woodworking, heavy shop use). Order a sample in each weight if you are torn — the fee credits toward bulk.
Does cotton canvas shrink?
Unprepared canvas can shrink 5–8%. All our stock canvas is pre-shrunk before cutting, which keeps residual shrinkage under about 3% — sizes stay consistent across washes and reorders.
Can canvas be dyed to our brand color?
Yes. We dye to Pantone references and you approve a lab dip before bulk dyeing. Embroidery thread is matched the same way, so fabric and logo land in the same palette.
